Revenue Management is the application of disciplined analytics (optimization, stochastic modeling, etc) on the pricing and marketing decisions to improve the revenue/profit of the firm. In this course, we will introduce the background and applications of revenue management, study the classical models and present some recent topics in revenue management such as the modeling of consumer purchase behaviors. Through this course, we hope to present a basic picture of this fast growing discipline and familiarize the audience with the useful tools in its research.
